How to use a long training line

A long line lets a dog run without going out of sight. Clip it to a harness, not a collar, if they might hit the end at speed.

Rope long lines soak up water and get heavy. BioThane does not, which is why it is used on wet grass.

Check the length on the product page before you buy. A long line in a small park is a trip hazard. A short line on a big beach does not give enough room.

A double-ended lead is for the pavement: two clips, or a loop round your waist. The long line is for training in open space.
